Welcome readers! We present to you the blog of Avenues 2011, the business festival of SJMSOM (IIT Bombay) aka 'the place where you cross chasms and realize dreams'. This year the festival shall be held from 14th to 16th October. To the people viewing the festival from the outside this blog will act as a build-up to the main event and a source of updates from the various competitions; to the people on the inside it shall provide the larger picture of avenues and act as an interface where they can receive feedback from other readers.
Avenues has grown leaps and bounds over the years and has matured into an integral part of the SJMSOM calendar. We honour this achievement by promising to deliver an even larger congregation this time around. Firstly, the readers need to note that the festival has been expanded from a two day event to span three entire days in order to morph into the monster that it was destined to become. Secondly, the increasing size has brought with it an even larger concoction of ideas that has churned out innovative new events, which have wasted no time in threatening to outscore the old favourites. Thirdly, the flagship events have reinvented themselves to surprise their suitors with a fresh challenge.
